But seriously, it bugs me. I live in Los Angeles, not some Podunk town in the Bible Belt. I see people at least once or twice a month, standing outside the Metro station at Wilshire & Western attempting to hand me pamphlets about Jesus, people on the bus doing the same thing, etc. The most disturbing is when it’s kids, like 14-15 years old. Already brainwashed.
Sometimes I feel like reason and rationality is losing the battle, and that’s a scary thought. The advances of science, politics, society, etc. of the last 500 years are being attacked. Sad.
California is full of evil godless hippie liberals. There are more people to “save”. Then again, maybe it isn’t about statistics. Maybe handing out pamphlets for god pays better than waiting tables while working to land a role in the next big movie - that’s why people are in LA, right? ;)
